Hello beautiful reader, Welcome to another newsletter!
When I was younger, I used to feel like God didn’t like me. Everyone around me at the time seemed to be excellent in one sphere of life or the other. I was the epitome of the phrase, “jack of all trades, master of none”. I felt like I was sidelined in God’s plan and to be honest, I felt like that for a few years up until this Easter Season.
The days we are in are what the Bible calls the post resurrection season. A season in which everything dead in our lives has breath. A season in which just like our savior Jesus rose from the dead, we rise as well because in Him we are anew.
Luke 19: 30, NLT version says that, “Go into that village over there”, he told them. As you enter it, you will see a donkey tied there that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it to me. If anyone asks why you are untying that colt? just say, the Lord needs it”.
To give context to this verse, this was Jesus triumphant entry into the Mount of Olives were believers were laying their garments on the road for Jesus to ride on. What we as Christians know as Palm Sunday.
Back to the verse, if you notice Jesus asked his disciples to go into the village of Bethany and bring the donkey that NO ONE HAS RIDDEN ON BEFORE. I remember seeing this and asking the Holy Spirit why the donkey Jesus rode on was not used by anyone before. And the answer I got was profound.
Just like the donkey was kept aside for Jesus triumphant entry. In the same vein, some of us are kept aside and we think we are behind in life. Meanwhile God is keeping us for our triumphant entry into the global stage. God is keeping us to develop ourselves so we can be ready. Mind blowing right? I know.
Isaiah 60:22 says “when the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen”. When the time is right, the lord will reveal you in any sphere he has destined you to be. You might think you are behind but it’s just not yet your time. One might now ask, as we are waiting for God’s time, what should we do?
We develop ourselves, we tarry in the place of prayer and grow in different spheres of life- spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically.
How can we do this?
We read. Margaret Atwood once said, “a word after a word after a word is power”. There is power in knowledge. I once heard in school that a believer can’t prosper without knowledge. It’s one thing to KNOW where God is taking you and it’s another thing to LEARN how to get there. We need knowledge.
Before I heard of Everything Written, I found it hard to look for thought provoking books online. Once I found the channel, life became easier. Reading became easier. The waiting period became easier. I understand now that I’m kept aside for a greater purpose, one that I could never even think of. For it is said in His word, eyes has not seen, nor ears heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
So, just as Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, humbly yet confidently, I too approach the world with a sense of grace and humility, knowing that my journey is guided by God.
Please remember to share this if you found it useful!

Well done Demi. This is awesome 🙌🏼👏🙌🏼👏🙌🏼 - Aunty Buki
Beautifully written. I have never seen the donkey in this context and it is safe to say we think about the entry of Jesus at least once a year just before Easter. Thank you Demilade💕
